Cytomegalovirus Infection Through Self-Paid Screening

Only a small number of newborns are diagnosed with congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection at birth. In fact, many affected infants appear completely asymptomatic, showing no obvious signs or symptoms. However, even when no symptoms are visible, detailed examinations may reveal findings that cannot be detected by appearance alone.
For this reason, if your child has been identified as having cytomegalovirus infection through a self-paid screening test, we recommend undergoing a comprehensive evaluation, even if your
child appears to have no symptoms.
